The Salisbury String Quartet were professional, accomodating and sounded fantastic. They helped create a special atmosphere during the ceremony and during the drinks reception, with a wide repertoire covering classical and more modern pieces. I would definitely recommend them.

The Salisbury String Quartet played in the Members Marquee at the Hertfordshire County Show for two days and proved to be both very professional and extremely popular.

 

 

 

The ladies played for us for 4 hours for a 50th birthday party. The range of music was just right for the audience, which was a mixed age range, and they even managed to fulfil a request for a piece which is not in their usual repertoire. This was no mean achievement with 3 days notice! Fantastic quartet, thoroughly enjoyable evening and would highly recommend them to add a different dimension to any party or celebration

 

 

We were thrilled with the string quartet and they made our wedding day so special. They were so accommodating in the lead up to the wedding with all my song requests and I would not hesitate in recommending them to other people.

Our daughter had set her heart on a string quartet to perform Pachelbel's Canon for her wedding in church. The Salisbury String Quartet provided this and much more with a varied selection of music. The feedback from the guests as they sat waiting was excellent and we know our daughter and her new husband fully appreciated the enhancement to the ceremony. We would certainly book them again for any future event.

 

 

Dear Isobel,  I want to drop you a line for the reason that we so enjoyed your playing at the Garden Club evening last Thursday.  Thank you so much for presenting sucha  lovely programme and I thought your presentation was perfect. 

 

 

I booked Isobel to play the cello at my wedding in December 2009. She played before and at the civil ceremony.

 

Isobel is a very accomplished cellist and has a wide repertoire. She knew what she was doing and was entirely open to ideas with no fixed mindset of what was ‘the right thing’, yet gave me suggestions where I needed. She didn’t rush me over choices and was happy to play a piece again and again. She even suggested that I have a little practice with the ‘walk’ to ensure appropriate timing.

 

Isobel is extremely professional and from day one she inspired confidence. She always kept in communication before the day and returned my calls if I left a message. She paid attention to detail and asked about the dress code. She fitted in well with the hotel staff and guests. Her appearance is good and she was at the venue in plenty of time.

 

She is intelligent and can play to fill the ‘awkward spaces’ left at times, e.g while waiting for the bride and during the signing. She didn’t just play one piece and then sit in silence.

 

I was initially undecided about booking a cellist and am so pleased that I did. It totally raised the tone of the wedding and was utterly charming. My whole experience with Isobel was enjoyable and fun from being to ended.

 

I would not hesitate in recommending Isobel.
